Many radio amateurs like to run communication programs without having to become a Linux GURU.
The idea here is to collect date about Benchtop and Laptops computers that WILL work from the W3SZ_Knoppix_Linrad CD.
We would like to come to a hardware package, consisting of a computer with minimum required RAM, audio and soundcards,
and perhaps monitor and mouse requirements.
With these minimum hardware requiremnts and the Knoppix_Linrad CD, one should be able to build a WORKING Linrad computer.
Of course, this will be only a suggested and safe approach that gets you fast to results with a minimum of questions.
In the end you might develop an interest in Linux, not such a bad thing in Amateur Radio.
We will try 2 sections:
1 Systems that work.
2 Systems that do not work initially with the identified reason(s) why they do not. This section will be more important than section 1.
