1996 International EME Conference:

The 1996 International EME Conference will be held the 3rd Weekend of August 1996, (Aug. 15,16,17,18) in Bowie, Maryland at the Comfort Inn between Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC.

    Technical Papers

    The East Coast EME Group is still looking for Technical Papers to print in the Proceedings of the 1996 International EME Conference. (Camera ready pages are a must for printing.)

    EME Station Slide Show set up:
    Time Limit is 15 minutes per each EME operator, only Ten (10) slides maximum.

    Just in case you can't make the "96 EME Int'l Conference at the last minute, the East Coast EME Group can narrate your Slides. Willie will line up the slidesin the projector trays, 30 days in advance please. Please number your slides, thanks.

    Please those EME operators that cannot attend the '96 EME Int'l Conference also send slides. Please send their ten (10) slides & one (1) page explaining their slides & station, to Willie, W1ZX, the EAST Coast EME Group will narrate the slides. First slides received, first shown, time permitting. Station slides show line up will be posted at the Conference plus a printed program for all the (4) days.     EME Equipment Demonstrations
    Friday and Saturday during breaks from the program a 15 to 20 minutes Demonstrations of EME equipment on the site.(Next Room)

    The East Coast Group needs a 15 to 20 minute EME equipment for new EME operators. Contact Willie, W1ZX if you can do such a demo, thanks.

    Video tape playbacks: Will be Friday & Saturday during the breaks from the program.

    Noise figure meters will be available for tuning up your pre-amps for the Noise Figure measurement contest on Saturday (with technical help of course)

    The East Coast EME Group is hoping that all EME Operators, attending will be able to go home, after the Conference and use some, or if not all of the technical information from the EME Conference.

    Coffee and beverages are available during the day.

    Surplus Test Equipment Dealers will be available on Saturday, ANA Instruments, K-MEC, also with some 10 GHz Equipment..

    Van/Bus trip to downtown Washington, DC to The Smithsonian Institution-National Air & Space Museum in Washington DC. We need a minimum number of people for the Van/Bus trip. Limited to 45 people per group (per tour guide person) plus the EME Conference Tour Guide. Tom, WA3TAI, needs 60 days notice to set up with the Museum. Get your reservation in early, June 1 1996 cut off. The Bus costs will vary by the number of people.
    Bus sizes cost:
    36 Passenger Bus $ 9.00 per person.
    48 Passenger Bus $ 7.25 per person.
    58 Passenger Bus $ 7.00 per person.
    12 Passenger Van $ 17.25 per person.
