[linrad] fedora core 4

I am normally a debian user but not being a fantastic linux super expert 
I almost decided to go for Fedora4 on the station's computer to get 
linrad installed. (and also to see something different on the desktop)

Now, of course after having downloaded the FD4 4 cds, I remembered to 
have seen some comment about svgalib having troubles to compile under 
FD4 (hi).  I can't find the mail about it can someone help? I'd be also 
happy to stay with Debian, if someone knows how to tweak it maybe we can 
take the discussion aside without clogging the reflector.  I'll surely 
post the outcome here once I am done,  for other's benefit.

I previously installed linrad OK on a Mandrake but I think it was an 8 
or 9 something revision and of course the linrad of those days.
