Re: [linrad] M-Audio Audiophile 192 Soundcard

I think the gotcha is the availability of software drivers for Linux.

Cost of that card was less than 200$US, last I checked,
but as I recall, it only had 2 channels of A/D and 2 of D/A.

Would the M-Audio Audiophile 192 Soundcard work with Linrad ?
Is it compatible with the Delta-44 ?
I am asking because, browsing its specs, it has a frequency response
specified for the various sampling rates :

+/-0.1dB, 20Hz to 20kHz @ 48kHz
+/-0.1dB, 20Hz to 40kHz @ 96kHz
+/-0.5dB, 20Hz to 80kHz @ 192kHz

The Delta-44 specs just say :

22Hz-22kHz, -0.3, -0.2dB

without mentioning any sampling rate, which makes me suspicious about
the fact that its anti-aliasing filter has a fixed cut-off.
Also the dynamic range looks better :

Delta-44: 99dB (A-weighted) (A/D)
Audiophile-192 113 dB @ 48kHz (A-weighted)

Given that the cost of the Audiophile 192 is just a bit higher than that
of the Delta-44, it could be a better buy.
