[linrad] SV: [linrad] Re: unit adressing

Thanks Leif,

yes I found the dll-file about an hour after I sent the mail to the group, but later I couldn't log into this mailaddress. Also tried Rogers software and it works nice.

I'm about to convert the computer to Linux, these first tests was mostly to see that the units work and they do. Is there a similar software, as Rogers, to set frequency under Linux? Couldn't find any meny in Linrad to do that, but I also must admit that I haven't played arround with it much.

The units also get really hot, placed them vertically as suggested by Nicklas. What about airspace above and under the units - any recommendations? Mine are now directly on a bench and about 2-3cm of free air above the units. They are all separated about 2cm. Maybee there should be more air under the units too - anybody tested this? I thought of making a spacer, in wook or aluminium, that could held the units in place, the only reason now for not moving arround is that I have used very short pieces of coax...

I must also redimension the cooler on my newly built powersupply. The 2 times nearly 3A gives a lot of heat there too...

The file inpout32.dll has to be available to Linrad.
You can download it from the Linrad home page
http://www.sm5bsz.com/linuxdsp/linrad.htm and place it
in the Linrad directory or any other directory available
to Linrad (I do not know the Windows conventions where to
place DLL files.)

You also have to set the hardware address for your parallel port.
Press "S" on the Linrad main menu. (888 is the default for lpt1
on a PC computer)
