OK, I guess we are in a close competition for who knows least about
these things.  :-)

For the ways in which most amateurs use the Windows computers in their 
shack, I think a good rule of thumb for priority setting -- when 
anything other than the default "normal" is needed  -- is to use the 
lowest setting that works well.  In most cases, as far as I have been 
able to determine, this means using the "Above Normal" setting.
